Easiest prediction ever, Trump did a coup in Venezuela. Regardless of what you think of Venezuela’s government, the US cannot simply dictate the leadership in other countries. Trump did not do an address to the nation. He did not allow the press to answer questions. Instead he simply ordered a strike and effective kidnapped Maduro and the first lady. Then he informs the public by a post on Truth Social. Trump should be impeached.
A few weeks ago on PressTV I stated the US’s plan when the labeled Venezuela a terrorist state that Trump was planning a military strike that he could do without informing congress. Let’s be clear, it is not just Trump it is narco Rubio and Pete the drunk Hegseth and all the usual neocons as well.
It is outrageous, that the US government believes it is OK to both announce it is going to urn Venezuela until there is a new government aka until the puppet government is installed. Maria Corina Machado has been praising Israel. She promised to recognized Jerusalem if she was in charge. What an odd thing to say.
Venezuela cut off oil to Israel in 09. The US sanctioned Venezuela off and on since Chavez. Biden briefly lifted sanctions on oil after he slapped sanctions on major oil exporters Russia and Iran. There are those pretending like this was a war on narco terrorism. It isn’t. Columbia could be next. This is naked imperialism.
Make noise there is very little else you can do. There needs to be political pressure against this type of behavior.
