Welfare should become work-fare

I understand using taxes for public works or to match R&D or for common goods like a public school or a post office.

But it is completely detrimental to society to pay people to not work and stop paying them if they get a job. Welfare is not simply the state paying for anything. If the government bails out people for bad decisions, be it speculators, ban…
