Hating gays could flip Korean election.
Realistically the South Korean presidential election is between
Kim Moon-soo (Yoon's party)
Lee Jae-myung (the only real opposition.)
One would think after impeaching Yoon and many of his officers that Lee had it in the bag. Indeed he had, until he made a crucial mistake.
He came out as OK with homosexuality. Koreans think this is deeply immoral. His landslide lead is disappearing and right now it's 50/50 as I write this and Kim is dominating in Seoul.
In Korea, it's the small but vocal Christian minority that advocates homosexuality. Opposite of what you might think. But it's the most like Western culture and the pro gay stuff is from the West.
Every Asian nation besides Taiwan outlaws homosexual marriage. They have strict uniforms for boys and girls in school based on biological reality. Lee could lose against the most unpopular leader since Japanese occupation because he catered to queers. I don't like either one but it's best that Kim wins just for the w in the culture.
