King and Spalding seem to have grown very much within the Power Structure. Spalding was basically the right hand man / lawyer for the most powerful business man in Atlanta, Ga. so he was front row seeing how Power ran the city and state of Georgia. In the 40's and 50's he was speaking of how Power used propaganda, distraction to lesser issues ( Trans issues of today for example) all the way to the use of violence to have their policies put in place. Government and politicians were basically a authority figure to push their agenda. Looks like this legacy is still running strong!
