I spoke with a man today with a masters degree in economics, he spoke Korean English and Japanese. He works now with elderly care. I was explaining to him how the market doesn’t reward things more just because they are valuable to society. You may know a lot, you might do something that is beneficial to society but that does not mean you will gain any wealth from that. A historian or archeologist, or daycare worker has a hard job, it takes a lot of intellectual prowess or grit do do some of the things people are out there busting their ass doing. But you will still earn less than a hoe that shakes her tits online or some TtikToker who dresses animals in funny clothes and dances with them to music. Entertainment is where current cash flows are.
Using history as an example. It keeps us grounded, it if understood could prevent us from making mistakes. But there isn’t much money in knowing history, or philosophy or many subjects. However if you know video editing, and you can take say a historical battle an animate it. That will make money. There are ways to game-ify knowledge and make it monetizable.
These type of real world skills are what Real World school is about. Tates have their name on it and are part of it, but its large body of professionals teach people PRACTICAL skills that they can turn around and use immediately and start making money.
