I checked into the ‘titanium neck bones’ and you can fire a subsonic round from a 30.06 (and an expert shot). You can’t buy them, they are normally hand loaded, and when a round is subsonic it does weird things. If the round had been its typical supersonic (>1,125ft/second) the likelihood that the bullet lodged would be very, very low. Most of the regular rounds go over 2,000ft/second and at ~145 yards, well you do the math.
